Mary Petersen was born and raised in eastern Iowa, moving to Marshalltown in 1983. She is the
proud mother to the late Adam Moore, Kyle Petersen, and Courtney Petersen and proud
grandmother to Alivia, Kaleb, Ilah. She joined the First Methodist team as a Receptionist in early
2025 after retiring from 29 years at Walmart in Marshalltown. She enjoys cooking and crafting
making her involvement on the Fellowship Meal team and Card Ministry a naturally harmonious
fit!
